Challenge

Ligue 1 has been home to the highest level of French football since 1932.
In 2025, it reaches a historic milestone with the launch of Ligue 1+, the first ever TV channel dedicated entirely to Ligue 1. And for this groundbreaking premiere, a unique sound was needed to create a new ritual for French fans around the best of football and to reflect both the energy of French football and the boldness of the LFP.

Sonic concept

Sixième Son designed a sound inspired by the rhythmic structure of boleros. The theme, powerful and clear, pays tribute to the snare drums that electrify the supporter sections. These percussions, the heartbeat of the stands, drive a score built to become a rallying call. It is orchestral and refined, modern and unmistakably French. The theme is catchy. You can hum it, sing it, clap along to it. It sparks anticipation, builds suspense, and amplifies moments of celebration.

Outcome

Sixième Son developed a full sonic ecosystem with dozens of variations supporting every program on the channel, from multiplexes to goal jingles, including weekly shows like Kick-off, 90+1, Multiplex, and Ligue 1+ Le Club.

French football is stepping up, asserting its ambition and leadership through a dedicated channel with a unique audio and visual identity. It is a true destination for fans to experience the thrill of the game together.

The launch was a hit. The account generated 15 million impressions, 10 million video views, and gained 280,000 followers, a 60 percent boost in the first weekend alone, reaching 600,000 subscribers just one week after launch.
