Challenge

An iconic brand in the automotive industry, Renault refreshed its brand platform in 2015 with a new lifestyle positioning captured by its tagline: Passion for Life. The previous Renault audio identity included a metallic audio signature. The brand’s new positioning required a approach that replaced the sound of the vehicle with one that conveyed humanity and emotion.

Solution

The audio brand created by Sixième Son flexibly embraces all the life stages of car ownership and is capped by a truly differentiating audio logo in which the tune is carried by a sigh of pleasure.

PERFORMANCE

In 2017, the Renault audio DNA is awarded the Gold at the Grand Prix Stratégies du Design in the Audio Branding category. The jury for this prize, dedicated to Design, honored the audio DNA and its successful rollout across over 200 touchpoints.
